Thing I’ve Learned From a Year of Blogging

Tomorrow marks one full year of weekly Funky Fresh Friday posts!

(The time between Christmas and new Years doesn’t exist.)

To celebrate the blog-iversary, here are the things I learned from a year of blogging—paired with projects I made along the way.

Friday comes around faster than I thought.

Earning a single penny can feel surprisingly rewarding.

Because it came from something I made—and it took a lot of work before earning anything at all.

I remember what I make so much better when I write it down.

Apparent effort ≠ actual effort.

Some of my shortest posts took the most time. And every blog post is at least an afternoon.

Starting a project is easy, starting a blog post is hard. Finishing a project is hard, finishing a blog post is easy.

I never know what posts will do well.

I had no idea anyone would care about my yarn reviews.

I can still show up for myself even when I don’t want to.
