Haikus About Knitting
This week I wanted to do something a little different and put my degree in English-Writing to work! Here are some haikus about knitting—some more low-hanging fruit than others.
knit, purl, knit, purl, knit
this is how to do ribbing
my fingers are sore
my sweater is done!
oh no, wait, the second sleeve...
and weaving in ends
I’ve lost count again
the TV said a number
why is counting hard?
increases how to:
I left it in the front yard,
I will be right back
I have enough yarn
but these skeins are so pretty
okay just one more
continental drift
violent right—stab, strangle
I am a leftist
I could be knitting
instead of writing, sleeping,
or going to work
Hopefully next week I'll be back with a full pattern review of the dot|top! For now, here's a sneak peek of how mine's coming along:
